About Me
Hey y’all, I’m Ashley. I grew up in Kerrville, Texas, and graduated from Tivy High School in 2006. I then graduated from Tarleton State University in 2010 with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies, elementary education...which is coming in handy as a Mommy. Hahaha! I married Craig, the love of my life and high school sweetheart, soon after. We call a little bit of acreage in the Hill Country home, along with our two kiddos, two cats, two dogs, two horses, and a donkey. Most days you can find me running around our 10 acres with my babies, floating the river behind our house, and spending long evenings with friends and family around the dinner table or on the back porch.
I am a stay at home Momma AND a photography boss lady. I grow my business when I can and look forward to the time I am blessed to be behind my camera. Photography is my passion. It is my endorphin release! The best part of what I do is getting to capture LOVE and LIFE! The LOVE for adventure and the excitement in a high school Senior as they are about to step out on their own. The LOVE and light in a baby’s eyes and smile. The LOVE a couple has for one another. The unconditional LOVE of a family!
I launched ALP in 2013 and I spent my first 5 years in business specializing in High School Senior portraiture. I devoted my time to providing the most amazing experience for the area's graduates. After having my baby girl, however, my passion began to shift and I was introduced to a new level of love and life I had no idea existed. That is when I opened my business back up to capturing ALL things related to LOVE. I have a greater appreciation for the level of love that is shared between man and woman, husband and wife, and as their world grows into starting a family of their own. My passion for photography stems from capturing those precious moments for my clients and the love they have for one another.
The LOVE a young couple shares as they prepare to start their lives as husband and wife. Their love is on fire, just the two of them. The LOVE a couple shares as they learn they are expecting a child of their own. Their hearts are full of wonder and have begun growing and expanding. The LOVE a couple shares as they hold that child for the first time. Their hearts have double in size and bursting at the seams. The LOVE as a family of two becomes a family of three, four, or even more. I have a passion, now, for capturing this special LOVE…as I experience this LOVE first hand. Its incredible and I have a want to capture it for others.
